(ROCK) born in Melbourne, Victoria began dance training at age 3 when she moved to Brisbane with her family. She began her journey with Laurel Santry in Brisbane learning Ballet, Jazz and Tap. Her love for dance exploded as she went on to train at D.L.D.C one of Brisbane’s most successful and well-known studios at the time.
She discovered her love for Hip-hop at the age of 13 in her first year of High school and became the first ever Dance Mentor for Alexandra Hills High School!
Straight out of High school Rock decided to study fulltime dance at DLDC in 2002 graduating with a Certificate 4 in Commercial Dance and Musical Theatre Performance.
A new journey began when Rock became a Coach and Dancer at Club PJ’s in 2002. She competed at a State, National and International level and went on to coach and choreograph many dance teams at Club PJ’s/Industrie 1.
While coaching was a big part of her life Rock trained hard, choreographing and performing at many shows and events around Brisbane:, Brisbane Bullets Half Time Entertainment, L’Oreal Fashion Parade, British Lions/Wallabies Rugby Union Opening Ceremony, Miss Grandview, State of Origin, Big Brother (reality T.V show), Man from Snowy River (Production) and resident dancer at Mystique Nightclub along with many other shows and side projects over the years.
Rock’s more recent achievements include coaching teams who placed 1st in Australia qualifying for Worlds & becoming a Dance Tutor at QUT University sharing her expertise with both performance & education students in the creative arts department. Rock traveled overseas to America for professional development participating in over 13 workshops with international choreographers.
Rock has since had two beautiful children and continues to train, teach and facilitate many workshops around Brisbane sharing her knowledge with schools and studio’s.
Rock been an integral part of many dancers success for over 20 years and hopes to continue to inspire, develop and influence many more dancers in the years to come.
